so for fall 2011 my theme is cacti
first project is chasing and repousse'

it's supposed to be a narrative involving the theme.
the most entertaining story i found was where some people buy a cactus and take it home and throw a party because they just moved out west and bought a house. later in the evening the cactus starts moving. egads! right?
then it explodes in a fury of baby tarantulas who were living off a dead animal that found its way into the cactus and now they're starving and feast on the first thing they find: the party- going guests. another version has scorpions instead of tarantulas because tarantulas don't live in the southern US where the story took place.

turning this story into a narrative piece of body adornment is... not going so well
